Gardening Scotland 2018

Scotland’s Gardening Festival - June 1st-3rd 2018

We had a fantastic time attending Gardening Scotland this year. Our stand at the show was set up by Head Office in conjunction with our Falkirk branch. It was a real family affair for Falkirk, who had many relatives assist in the show and also in helping us to raise funds for Strathcarron Hospice.

On our stand, we had a team of GreenThumb experts from our Falkirk, Tyneside North, Borders, Lanark, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh branches to give their specialist advice. We also had ‘Flora’, our colourful campervan on display; as well as our GreenThumb racing lawnmower.

Mark from our Falkirk branch hosted a talk about lawncare in the foyer theatre of the show. We also held a lucky prize draw and gave out free kneeling pads, which are a great help while gardening.

Our weed display was very popular, people were able to identify the troublesome weeds that they have in their own garden! Visitors were also able to see samples of our exclusive “Diamond Green” bespoke lawn seed, as well as our fertilizers and top soil etc.

To help support the Strathcarron Hospice - we provided a couple of free activities on Saturday and Sunday for children; during which visitors could donate. We had face painter and also a table set up where children could make their own ‘grass heads’.

It was altogether a very successful event, with all our staff providing expert lawncare advice to attendees; sharing our experience and passion for all things green!
