I have lived in my current home for 26 years and never once treated my lawn until last year when it was so full of moss beneath my hedges I applied an off the shelf moss killer which did a good job. I seeded the areas where the  moss had been and the lawn improved but it still had a a carpet of interwoven clover weeds, dock leaves and dandelions. 
I then signed up to Green Thumb and they have applied three treatments in 2021, one in January, one in April and one in June/July and the lawn has transformed before my eyes into a thick lush carpet of green grass with no weeds or moss.
